Grand Lake Health System will host a free community health talk, Sexually Transmitted Infections: What Students & Parents Need to Know,” on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at St. Marys High School (Food Lab, 2250 St. Rt. 66 North, St. Marys, OH).

Led by Dr. Wilfred Ellis, this interactive presentation will address common myths, real risks teens face today, and the impact of social media misinformation surrounding sexually transmitted infections.

Topics will include

how infections actually spread

warning signs that should never be ignored

prevention strategies that work

how adolescent health decisions can affect long-term wellbeing.

The session is educational, age-appropriate, and designed to empower students and families—not sensationalize.
