Joint Township District Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the Landen Philpot Nursing Scholarship. This scholarship is for graduating seniors, current college students, or adults returning to college pursuing a nursing degree. This scholarship is geared towards nursing students focusing on obstetrics or pediatrics. There are (2) $1,000 scholarships awarded annually in memory of Landen Philpot, who died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at 3 months old. This is a non-renewable scholarship; past scholarship winners are encouraged to apply. Being a past winner does not guarantee the award of a scholarship.

Current Parkway High School Senior, Christina Tong, was selected as one of the 2026 Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Landen Philpot Scholarship recipients. Christina will be attending the Wright State Lake Campus in Celina, pursuing a degree in nursing, working with pediatric or obstetric patients. Christina plans to return to the Auglaize and Mercer areas to serve her community after graduation.

Current Minster High School Senior, Anna Kohne, was selected as one of the 2026 Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Landen Philpot Scholarship recipients. Anna will be attending the Wright State Lake Campus in Celina, pursuing a degree in nursing, working with pediatric or obstetric patients. Anna plans to return to the Auglaize and Mercer areas to serve her community after graduation.
