St. Marys, Ohio – Grand Lake Health System is proud to announce the nomination of Dr. James Luedeke, Primary Care Physician at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, for the 2026 Healthcare Worker of the Year Award presented by the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA).
Dr. Luedeke exemplifies the highest standards of community healthcare. For more than 40 years, he has served as a trusted physician, mentor, and advocate for patients throughout west-central Ohio. His compassionate, patient-centered approach has allowed him to care for multiple generations of families, building lasting relationships rooted in trust and respect.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Luedeke has practiced in Family Medicine and Chronic Wound Care. He has also served multiple terms as Chief of Staff at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, providing steady leadership and guidance to colleagues and staff. In addition to his clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Luedeke has contributed to medical education as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, helping to prepare and mentor future physicians.
