JOHN SHARMA

Dr. John Sharma received his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2005. Dr. Sharma is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) and serves in leadership roles on several advisory boards.
With more than 15 years of experience in family medicine and serving rural communities, Dr. Sharma provides compassionate, physician-led care for patients of all ages— built on trust, education, and shared decision-making.
Dr. Sharma specializes in comprehensive family medicine for all ages—from newborns to geriatrics—with a focus on preventive health, chronic disease management, wellness promotion, and healthcare leadership.
Guided by a holistic, team-based approach, Dr. Sharma’s passion lies in making healthcare more human-centered—helping patients feel truly seen and cared for while improving the systems that support both patient and provider well-being.
His work has included advancing preventive medicine initiatives, developing patient-centered care models, mentoring medical students and residents, and leading quality improvement projects that strengthened both clinical outcomes and organizational performance.
Dr. Sharma and his family reside in Van Wert, OH, where they stay active in local sports and participate in church-based community outreach through LifeHouse Church.
