Dr. Torres completed his residency in general preventive medicine and public health at Walter Reed Institute of Research in Washington, D.C. and has a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland. His experience as an occupational medicine professional is extensive, including service with the United States military, the federal government, private industry and businesses. He has over 28 years of occupational medicine experience and extensive professional accrediting, including: • Board-certification in Public Health and Preventive Medicine • Certified Medical Examiner for the DOT • Certified Professional Hearing Conservation Supervisor • Aviation Medical Examiner • Civil Surgeon for Homeland Security. In addition to extensive professional accreditations, Dr. Torres is active in several professional societies, including The American Medical Association, The American College of Occupational Medicine and The Johns Hopkins Alumni Association. Dr. Torres is actively engaged in ongoing education, attending medical conferences, participating in workshops, and completing CME (Continuing Medical Education) courses. Whether it’s learning about the latest advancements in diagnostic imaging, exploring new treatment protocols, or understanding the implications of emerging research, he integrates the most up-to-date knowledge into his practice.
