Grand Lake Health System is celebrating an important milestone in its commitment to providing advanced surgical care close to home: 1,000 robotic-assisted surgeries have now been performed through its robotic surgery program.
The milestone reflects the continued growth of Grand Lake Health System’s robotic surgery program and its commitment to giving patients throughout the Grand Lake region access to advanced surgical technology without having to travel far from their families and communities.
Robotic-assisted surgery can provide benefits for appropriately selected patients, including smaller incisions, enhanced visualization and greater precision for the surgeon, and potentially less pain and a faster recovery. The da Vinci Surgical System is designed to assist surgeons during complex procedures while allowing the surgeon to maintain complete control throughout the operation.
