Joint Township District Memorial Hospital’s Inpatient Rehab Facility is a hospital-based acute unit dedicated to the restoration of functional mobility and activities of daily living. Located on the sixth floor of the hospital, the IRU is licensed to provide nursing and intense therapy in an acute care setting.

Patient Referral Processes
Physicians may request a referral from any healthcare setting, such as emergency room, physician office or home. Patients can be admitted from our acute care unit or transferred from another acute care setting. A pre-admission screen must be completed to determine if you meet the criteria for Acute Rehab:
- Medical stability
- Ability to participate in an intense rehab program
- Need for both physical therapy and occupational therapy
