Make Believe Hospital

For many children, a hospital can be a scary place. But studies show that children who have been prepared prior to hospitalization respond better to treatment and to the entire experience. "Make Believe Hospital," a program now in its 31st year at Joint Township Hospital, familiarizes kindergartners with hospital procedures in a fun, relaxed way. Fourteen schools from nearby communities participate, and more than 1,000 kindergartners visited each year.
